  1. I love the idea of being location independent but that isn’t much of an option in my current profession (banking). I don’t recognize many of the companies on the list. Would there be any reason to be concerned about job security or are these companies all fairly well established?

    1. Some of the companies (like Buffer) are very well established. A few others are smaller. But many have venture capital backing and seem to be on the right track. The ease and quality of jobs you would find here certainly depend on your interests. But they would need help with everything from Marketing, to HR, to Accounting and Finance.

  2. It’s funny. I literally just commented on another site suggesting they find a way to work remotely away from an office.

Ms. Financial Slacker and I have worked remotely for the past 10 years and it really is the best of both worlds. You have steady income with flexibility.

Thanks for putting this list together. Great stuff!

    1. I’m glad you enjoy! Thanks for stopping by. It’s definitely great to have mobility. And, for some, it’s nicer to have a steady job with the flexibility. Have a great day!

    1. That’s the goal! Hopefully this list can provide some inspiration to a few people. Thanks for stopping by.

  3. This is a great list. I will surely tell me my wife to read and see which ones she wants to apply for. She is currently a stay home mom and is trying to find a job that she can do at home. While some of the companies you listed may require some sort of travel, I think she’ll be able to find something on your list that she can be happy to try. Thanks for making this list.

    1. Great! I’m sure she’ll be able to find someplace epic to work on her own schedule, from home. Keep me posted on her success!

  4. I would love to have that kind of liberty. Do your own work schedule and work wherever you like. Sounds great! 🙂

    1. It’s certainly possible Patricia! Find a skill that you enjoy that can be done remotely (like writing, social media management, analytics, programming, customer service, etc) and you’re good to go!

    1. Great question. Many of these businesses are US employers, so you may need to have permission to work in the US. However, you may want to check out Upwork — as there are many opportunities on there that are available to anyone.
